I recently changed health insurance companies. I liked my previous provider, and they did a great job for me over the years, but as a small business owner, the premium costs kept creeping up $200 per month each and every year. That adds up to huge and unaffordable monthly payments over time.

After making the change to a new insurance company, I thought I would at least get some type of packet mailed to my house. I must say I am fairly stunned that to date I have not received any type of communication from them – other than my insurance card with nothing else included. It was void of any “thank you for being our new customer” letter, flyer, etc.

While I did not expect a welcome mat to be rolled out in celebration, I did hope they would at least acknowledge me. Like the famous Bob Seger song, I “feel like a number”.
